"Wylie" is a 16.2 h, five year old unraced TB gelding. He is a beautiful deep blood bay with no white markings. He was bred for eventing and is by Denny Emerson's stallion Reputed Testimony (see www.tamarackhillfarm.com for more info). His dam is a TB mare who has proven herself as a broodmare of nice performance horses many times over. Wylie is bred for sport, not racing, so he is built uphill with a short back and substantial bone. He has a beautifully shaped neck (like his sire) that should make it easy for him to be on the bit. He is a good mover w/great conformation and an excellent, quiet mind. His canter is suberb. His personable attitude makes him a pleasure to be around. Wylie got a late start and wasn't started under saddle until late in his four year old year (due to the previous owner had lack of time), so he only has a few months under saddle. However, he has a laid back and relaxed attitude and is accepting his training well. He knows walk, trot, canter, and as far as his arena work is concerned, he is learning circles and bending as well as transitions and leads. He goes outside on the trails with another horse. He is very quiet and not spooky. He is not herd bound nor does he have any vices. He trailers and ties well.
He will jump anything on the lunge line (we haven't jumped him under saddle yet) and seems confident and brave.
He should move along quickly with continued proper training. As soon as he is jumping under saddle, his price will go up.
