NAME: JACK
AGE: foaled in 2017 (don't know exact birthdate)
BREED: APPALOOSA/PERCHERON CROSS
HEIGHT: official measuring stick says 15.2 and 1/2
WEIGHT: Our guess is about 1100 pounds. He is stout with larger bone and hooves but has withers and wears a size medium tree saddle
DISPOSTION: more of a kick ride for arena work but loves trail riding and will walk along easily, no kicking needed
LIVING SITUATION: currently lives in a large paddock alone but goes on turnout with a group of geldings all day. Gets along well with other horses. Can live in a barn as well.
PRICE: $18,000 negotiable to the right home. He excels with having his own person. We are negotiable if we find that person!

Jack is a friendly guy that needs his "person". He is stout and sturdy and exceptionally sound. He is light in the bridle and goes in a plastic snaffle. He is a good mover with an exceptionally smooth canter/easy to sit. More whoa than go. Full set of good x rays from 2023 available. He has been in professional training for 1.5 years to become a competitive event horse for his owner but has told us that is really not his path. He knows basic dressage and LOVES trail riding. He could also easily go western with his naturally collected gaits. He willingly goes through water and does not spook at deer, birds, etc. He will jump both xc jumps and cross rails if he trusts you and is "in the mood" (see video) but doesn't like to be pushed in a competitive environment so best to do these things for fun . He is a fun horse to ride and is quite versatile. Since he does not like to be pushed as a competition horse would need to be, we would like to find him a non-competitive or light competitive home. He needs a patient but persistant rider. He would be fun for a teenager. He can sometimes spook at strange inanimate objects doesn't go anywhere with it. We think he would really love fox hunting as he is really good outside, riding with other horses, sure footed and not hot. He is good on the ground and for the farrier, ties, trailers, etc. He has had exceptional care ever since his current owner bought him in 2023 and is updated on all the things. He deserves a good home and owner is willing to negotiate price to the right person. He can live in or out, is good in a herd or alone. He is not herd sour and is a good dude. He ties, trailers and stands for the farrier just fine. He has had excellent care and is updated on "all the things".
