You must wear a riding helmet and heeled boots.
A safety vest is required to jump xc jumps.
RIDE TIMES: For show jumping, there will be time slots for each division. (see below). You must show up at the jump arena within that time slot (preferably near the beginning of the time slot) to jump the assigned height. We cannot extend time slot times!
*ANY HORSE/RIDER COMBO THAT IS OUT ON THE XC COURSE MUST PAY FOR A ROUND EVEN IF THEY DON'T JUMP ANYTHING. This includes "emotional support" horses for a friend.
XC: There will be xc maps available at sign up. TAKE A PICTURE OF THE MAP AND WALK YOUR XC COURSE BEFORE RIDING IT!
There will be flagged and numbered xc courses for Tadpole height up to Training height (see specs below). Courses higher than 3'3" will be flagged by demand only, so let us know in advance if you want to jump that height!
Cross Country HAS NO RIDE TIMES AND JUMPS ARE OPTIONAL - you warm up then go over to the start when you are ready. You will have to wait until the starter tells you that you can start. She will separate each rider's time according to the level/speed they are riding. You can select which jumps you want to jump (or none), but only FLAGGED jumps can be jumped with the red flag on the RIGHT. Lines of jumps may be flagged as a whole rather than each individual jump having a flag (you can pick any jump in the line). Riders may go in groups of 2 or 3, but no more than 3 because it clogs up the course. You must give right of way to any faster riders coming up behind you! If you are coming up behind someone, give them a verbal alert to please give you the right of way. Every rider that goes on the xc course must pay the $40 whether they choose to jump anything or not. You must wear a xc vest to jump the xc jumps.
