SUNDAY MORNING FUNDRAISER SHOW UPDATE (7:14 am)- The weather forecast today is a high of 42 and sunny. We delayed the show start to 11:00 starting with the 3 flat classes (followed by show jumping) to give the ice time to thaw (we did not get any snow). PLEASE NOTE THAT XC RUNS ALL DAY STARTING AT 11:00 WITH ALL LEVELS! SO YOU CAN JUST SHOW UP WHENEVER AND RIDE YOUR XC ROUND -IT'S ALL SCHOOLING. FYI the water is frozen so unusable but the footing is otherwise OK! If you want to text me later to see how everything looks feel free - (303)229-1081

Join us at Platinum Farms for a fun filled day with your horse and horsie peers! We are putting on a fundraiser show to raise awareness for childhood cancer and breast cancer to honor the memory of Avery Dudasch, an avid horse girl who lost her battle with cancer in 2012 at age 11. We are also honoring our friend, Maggie Harris, a P.F. Team Member and Eventer who is currently battling breast cancer. WEAR YOUR PINK AND/OR PURPLE AT THE FUNDRAISER TO SHOW YOUR SUPPORT! And as always
RIDE FEARLESS! (but always wear a helmet!).
ALL SHOW INFO IS ON THE ENTRY FORM BELOW (SCROLL DOWN) DOWNLOAD IT TO READ!
SCROLL DOWN THIS PAGE! You can download and print out the entry form below or just email Rochelle at platinumfarmsllc@gmail.com telling her which events you would like to enter and you can pay at the show!
CURRENT INFO ON THE FUNDRAISER UPDATED ON 11/15 AT 1:02 PM

Fundraiser Show Details/Rules
NOTE: DUE TO THE COLD WEATHER ON SATURDAY, WE ARE STARTING THE ARENA CLASSES LATER TO ALLOW TIME FOR THE ARENA TO THAW. ARENA CLASSES WILL START AT 11:00 (moved from the original 9:30).  XC WILL STILL START AT 11:00! It is supposed to be sunny with a high of 40 on Sunday. Please check the Platinum Farms Facebook page Sunday morning before you come to make sure we are having the show. The only reason we would cancel would be if we got too much snow on Saturday.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE, YOU NEED TO CHECK IN, GET A NUMBER, PAY AND SIGN A RELEASE BEFORE YOU MOUNT YOUR HORSE! We will have a table in an obvious place for you to check in at.
ASTM Certified helmets, boots with a heel and body protectors for xc are required! If you have a medical armband please wear it!
Wear pink and/or purple to support the cause!
Parking: Nick will assist you with parking. The majority of rigs will be parked in the pasture with some rigs being parked up top (we can fit 4-5 up there) but it has to be done in a way that people can get out easily. Nick’s number is (303)229-4223 if you arrive and need help parking and he is not in the vicinity.
EXCEPT FOR THE FIRST CLASS, THESE ARE APPROXIMATE TIMES AS I’M NOT SURE HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY COMING TO THE SHOW. This was to make it easy for the competitors. So bear with me and go with the flow. The class will finish when it’s finished and people can add schooling rounds if they choose. You can either pay at the gate for the schooling rounds or pay when you are finished. This is supposed to be a fun, casual show to raise awareness about breast and childhood cancers. I’m hopefully people will come and hang out for the day and have a good time!
HOW THE XC WORKS: All levels of xc courses will be marked. The xc starts at 11:00. ALL LEVELS are going on at the same time. What you do is just go warm up and then tell the xc warm up steward when you are ready to start. She will communicate with the starter and tell you when to go up. We will make sure there aren’t too many people on the course at the same time. THE XC WILL NOT BE TIMED, ONLY MARKED. If you want to time yourself, wear a xc watch. You can pick a level or mix levels, just use common sense and be safe! RED IS ALWAYS ON THE RIGHT when approaching a fence. If you are having trouble at a fence and cannot get your horse over it after a few tries, please move on to the next one so you don’t clog up the course behind you!

HOW THE SHOW JUMPING WORKS: I will give approximate start times for each level. The first class is pile of poles at 11:00. The classes will continue throughout the day until we are finished or it gets dark! You can add a second show jump round as long as you do it before the division is finished. If you know you want to do this, pay in advance when you sign up. If you aren’t sure until after your first round then you can pay at the gate or back at the sign up table before you leave.

SHOW ITINERARY
10:30 in show jump arena: Dollar Bill Race. THIS IS NOT BAREBACK! It’s harder with a saddle! BRING A DOLLAR BILL! It will be placed under the calf of your choice. Everyone will ride at the same time in a uniform fashion under the instructions of the “caller”. Last one left with the dollar bill gets to keep all of the dollars! DO NOT ENTER YOUR HORSE IN THIS IF HE/SHE IS NOT USED TO RIDING IN A CROWD OF HORSES! I got a lot of interest in this class!

Approximately 11:00 in show jump arena: Trot Race. I was going to do this on the track but had to many entries so we are doing it in the jump arena. Everyone gets a space on the rail. Everyone trots at the same time going as fast at the trot as they can. If you break the trot you are out. If you pass someone at the trot then the person you pass is out. Last one left wins! If there are too many people in this, I will split the class

Approximately 11:30 in show jump arena: No Stirrup November. Come in the arena with your stirrups removed. Everyone goes at the same time. Instructions will be called out to you. This is a class judged on your equitation with no stirrups and how long you can “hang in there”. If there is a number of people who excel in this class then the tie may be broken by jumping some x rails.

Show Jump Classes will start approximately at 12:15 in jump arena. We are going to whiz through these to try and make it through everyone so don’t dilly dally! You can add additional show jump rounds.
Approximately 12:15 Pile of Poles starts
Approximately 12:40 x-rails starts
Approximately 1:15 Into/Elementary Starts (2’3 max)
Approximately 2:15 BN starts (2’7 max)
Approximately 3:30 Novice starts (2’11 max)
Approximately 4:00 Training (3’3 max) (I only had one person express interest in this so I think we will get finished before dark)

11:00 at the Start Box:  ALL xc levels will start! XC will go on all day long but we would like you to get over to the xc as soon as you can. Go to warm up and tell the ring steward when you are ready to go and she will communicate with the starter and tell you when to go over. We will start you to make sure not too many people are on course but we are not timing you.
