Fleetwood is a friendly, in your pocket type. He is a real fun loving guy who likes to "do stuff"! He has an extensive amount of training though not a lot of show experience. He is very smart and does well with a confident rider (you don't have to be an expert or trainer, just relaxed, firm and confident). He is an easy keeper and can live in or out but thrives with turnout with other gelding friends which keeps him mentally relaxed and stable. He is beautiful and a ladies man and the mares love him and he likes to flirt so he should probably not go on turn out with mares.
Super good to tie, tack (no girth puffing!), trailer and great for the farrier and vet.
He is adventurous and loves trail riding. He eagerly loads in the trailer whether by himself or with friends.
He has good dressage basics and is sufficient in shoulder in, leg yield and haunches in and almost always stops square.
He is a very confident show jumper and never refuses.
He has extensive experience schooling xc up to the Training level but needs a more confident, solid rider than in show jumping or dressage because he can be wary of surprises like rabbits bolting out from under the jumps (though he loves water and banks and will jump in and out of water all day).
He has been to horsemanship and desentization clinics and thinks those are fun things to do.
He can be spooky if bored or nervous, but he is not an actual spooky or reactive horse. He has no rear, buck or bolt. He likes to work and not for a lazy or timid type of rider though he will dumb it down and give dressage or small jump lessons to a less experienced rider. He has recently been giving lots of dressage, pole and low level jump lessons to a variety of riders though he prefers just one or two people as partners.
When he is relaxed or bored he has more whoa than go but when someone gets on who knows what they are doing and offers some fun he rises to the occasion and can be very forward.
No vices, easy keeper, good feet in basic shoes. Fleetwood is a very hardy and healthy horse and has never been sick or colicky and has no allergies. He has never had any joint injections.
He does have a previous injury to the sesamoidial ligaments in his left hind that unbeknownst to me, he had when I bought him at 4 yrs. old. He has had all of the proper lay up time, treatments and rehab and has been back in regular work for 3 years with no issues. Saying that, I feel it is best to keep Fleetwood at a lower level (novice or lower) for his soundness longevity and am selling him at below market value for this reason. He would love someone who wants to do a varied program of trail riding, dressage, low jumping, etc. He is a tough sturdy guy and will last someone a very long time.
I bought Fleetwood from his breeder as a green broke 4 yr. old and have owned and trained him for 5 years and know everything about him. He is very dear to me and has a very loveable personality. I will only sell him to the perfect match and situation. I will know if Fleetwood is suitable for your needs! He is a deserving horse and I only want him to go to the right match. This is not a "desperate sell" situation. I am only selling due to lack of time and finances.
I am willing to do an onsite lease to buy situation (or just a lease until he sells) so someone can have the time to bond with him and know if they would be good future partners.

I took Fleetwood to FL this past winter to get out of the cold. In the below video we are schooling xc for the first time in over 6 mos. and he is not fit so I was taking it really slow but it does include water, ditches and banks. This was in late March of 2023
